Virginia Delegates Assess Ethics Laws

With the amount of attention brought on by Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell’s widely known gift scandal, it has caused two Virginia House of Delegate members to closely assess and revise issues in the states ethics laws.

WTOP reports that Republican Delegate David Albo and Democratic Delegate Rob Krupicka have called for tightening Virginia’s ethics laws.

“I think full disclosure has to be our minimum,” Krupicka suggests in the article. “The trust in our government is critical to our ability to serve the citizens of the commonwealth. And if that trust isn’t there, we’re not going to be able to be as effective as we need to be to make this state successful. I think full transparency has to be a basic building block of any kind of ethics reform.”
